This document provides three sample configurations for the Catalyst G-L3. Each configuration section contains an example topology and explains the creation of the example networks. Additionally, a companion document is available that provides each configuration in its entirety for your review. These switches were used, in a lab environment with cleared configurations, in order to create the examples in this document:.

The information in this document was created from the devices in a specific lab environment. All of the devices used in this document started with a cleared default configuration.

If your network is live, make sure that you understand the potential impact of any command. For more information on document conventions, refer to the Cisco Technical Tips Conventions. From a configuration standpoint, the Catalyst G-L3 is a router that runs Cisco IOS, and all interfaces are routed interfaces by default.
